First, eggs are an EGG-cellent intermittent fasting food and an absolute MUST when it comes to a balanced diet. When we’re fasting, eating eggs can keep us feeling full, they’re a great energy source and they are pretty awesome for fat loss too.

Next, cottage cheese is not only considered a superstar complete protein food, but it is also one of the 6 best cheeses for weight loss and weight management. The protein quality of cottage cheese is pretty incredible too. The slow-digesting casein protein found in cottage cheese provides a steady supply of amino acids to the body. Therefore, when we consume adequate amounts, it has the potential to help preserve muscle mass and stimulate muscle growth during the fasting state.

*IMPORTANT RECIPE TIP – Scramble your eggs like normal first, with a little grass-fed butter. Then, remove them from the heat, wait a few minutes, and finally add in a big scoop of cottage cheese.
